Evonik, operating in specialty chemicals acquired probiotic business of the Norel S.A, a manufacturer and supplier of the animal feed ingredients in an undisclosed amount. As a part of agreement, the company acquired probiotic business, along with the site located in the León, Spain. This acquisition complements the preexisting product portfolio of the Evonik’s Animal Nutrition Business. 

Evonik is focusing towards expanding the healthy solutions involved in the animal nutrition in order to offer antibiotic-free livestock management. Also, the probiotic acts as a crucial factor in the minimizing the use of antibiotics.
